Jounal Fraport Group’s airports around the world also continued their upward trend in July 2021. Traffic across all airports increased significantly, with year-on-year figures partly rising by several hundred percent – albeit based on a sharply reduced traffic level in July 2020. Passenger numbers at all of the airports in Fraport’s international portfolio remained well below the pre-pandemic levels of July 2019.

Sloveni a Ayewopò Ljubljana (LJU) welcomed 65,474 passengers in the reporting month. At the Brazilian airports of Fortaleza (FOR) ak Porto Alegre (POA), combined traffic increased to 891,128 passengers. In Peru’s capital, Lima Airport (LIM) served over 1.0 million passengers.

At the 14 Greek regional airports, total traffic rose to about 3.6 million passengers in July 2021. On the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, the Twin Star airports of Burgas (BOJ) and Varna (VAR) also reported higher traffic volumes, serving 485,477 passengers overall. Antalya Airport (AYT) on the Turkish Riviera saw traffic grow to about 3.9 million passengers. St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport (LED) in Russia welcomed about 2.0 million passengers. At Xi’an Airport (XIY) in China, traffic advanced to nearly 3.9 million passengers.
