FORT WORTH, TX – American Airlines today promoted Don Casey to Senior Vice President – Revenue Management, responsible for all of American’s passenger pricing and yield management activity for the worldwide network of approximately 6,700 daily flights and more than $40 billion in annual revenue.

“Don has done a phenomenal job leading our revenue management team during the early months of integrating of our airlines, and his team is already providing real results and beginning to deliver on the revenue benefits we anticipated with the merger,” said Scott Kirby, president – American Airlines. “His experience at American over the past 14 years will help us make the world’s largest airline the most profitable.”

Casey will continue to oversee the pricing of fare and merchandising products, inventory management, upgrades, frequent flyer redemption, the revenue management activities for joint business agreements and the development of industry-leading revenue management tools and systems.

Casey previously served as Vice President – Revenue Management. He joined American in 2000 as managing director of capacity planning and led the company’s Alliances team during the first major expansion of oneworld and the successful application to gain antitrust immunity with partners British Airways and Iberia. His work has been recognized with a Laurels Award from Aviation Week & Space Technology for outstanding contributions to the field of commercial transportation. Prior to joining American, he was senior vice president of planning at Canadian Airlines.
