BOISE, Idaho — American Airlines passenger plane made an emergency landing in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday after the crew reported a mechanical plroblem. The jet was traveling from Dallas, TX to Seattle, WA with 145 passengers and crew members on board.

A Boise Airport spokeswoman said that the MD-80 landed safely at the Idaho airport.

According to AP, the officials say the flight stopped in Boise as a precaution because of a low-oil indicator light.

Airline spokesman Matt Miller says an additional American Airlines aircraft was brought to Boise from Los Angeles to pick up passengers and take them to Seattle.

Officials say the airline also sent equipment from LA to repair the jet.
